By accessing or using Ledgi ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Service. We recommend that you read these Terms carefully before creating an account.

2. Account Registration & Eligibility

To use Ledgi, you must register for an account by providing a valid email address and creating a password. You must be at least 18 years of age. The Service is designed primarily for individuals managing personal finances in the United Kingdom, though access is not geographically restricted.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

3. Description of the Service

Ledgi is a personal finance tracking tool that allows you to record and monitor bank accounts, savings, investments, pensions, and other financial holdings. The Service provides net worth calculations, portfolio views, and monthly review workflows.

Ledgi is not a financial advisor, investment platform, or tax adviser. The Service does not provide financial, investment, or tax advice of any kind. All information presented is for informational and personal tracking purposes only.

4. Subscription & Billing

Ledgi offers a subscription-based service with the following terms:

• Free trial: New accounts receive a 60 day free trial with full access to all features. No credit card is required to start the trial.
• Payment processing: All payments are processed securely through Stripe. We do not store your payment card details on our servers.
• Recurring billing: After the trial period, your subscription will automatically renew at the applicable rate (monthly or annual) unless cancelled.
• Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Upon cancellation, you will retain access until the end of your current billing period.
• Price changes: We may adjust pricing with at least 30 days' notice. Existing subscribers will be notified before any price change takes effect on their account.

5. User Responsibilities

When using Ledgi, you agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete information when registering and using the Service.
• Keep your account credentials secure and not share them with others.
• Not use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in any way that could damage, disable, or impair the Service.
• Not attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service, other accounts, or any systems or networks connected to the Service.

6. Intellectual Property

All content, design, graphics, and code that form part of the Service are owned by Ledgi and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the Service without our prior written consent.

You retain ownership of all financial data you enter into Ledgi.

7. Third-Party Services & Data

Ledgi integrates with third-party services to provide certain features:

• Alpha Vantage: Provides stock and ETF price data.
• CoinGecko: Provides cryptocurrency price data.

Price data from these providers is displayed for informational purposes only. We make no guarantees regarding the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of third-party data. Prices are cached and may not reflect real-time market values. You should not rely on this data for making financial or investment decisions.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Ledgi does not provide financial advice, investment advice, or tax advice. Nothing in the Service should be construed as such. You should consult a qualified professional for financial, investment, or tax matters.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Ledgi and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or financial losses arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service.

Our total liability for any claim arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

10. Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time through your account settings. Upon deletion, your personal data will be removed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, without prior notice.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you via email or through an in-app notification. Your continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
